In Memoriam: Rino Patti

Rino Patti, nationally renowned social work educator and scholar, has passed away. He was inducted into AASWSW as part of the inaugural class of Fellows in 2010.

A former dean of the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, Patti served as president of National Association of Deans and Directors of Social Work (NADD) and as the inaugural board president for Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research (IASWR).

Patti was honored for his work by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), who bestowed the Presidential Award for the Advancement of Research from the National Association of Social Workers in 1996. He received the USC Faculty Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the university’s most prestigious faculty honors, in 2006.
