John D. Clapp is internationally recognized for his research and translational work in the field of alcohol problem prevention.
A fellow in the American Academy of Health Behavior, he is currently studying the system dynamics of drinking events with engineers and computer scientists to develop “smart” real-time prevention applications.
Clapp has published more than 100 articles in numerous top research publications, served as principal investigator on more than 20 funded projects, and has received more than $32 million in grants and contracts from notable organizations, including the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the U.S. Department of Education.
