PhD, Indiana University BloomingtonElizabeth Lightfoot is a Professor at the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work. Her main research interests are in the area of disability policy and services, and the intersection of disability with child welfare, aging, abuse, and health. She has received funding for her research from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research and has received Fulbright Scholar Fellowships to study disability issues in Namibia and Romania. She has recently served as the President for the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work and the Secretary for the Society for Social Work and Research.
