Colleen Grogan is a is a Professor at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration and has many years of experience studying the US health care system, including the role of private provision and the structure of public entitlements. Much of her work has focused on the intergovernmental Medicaid program including the historical evolution of Medicaid policy over time, the role of private sector contracting, and the implications of policy changes for Medicaid recipients and the broader society. Grogan is the Academic Director of the Graduate Program for Health Policy & Administration (GPHAP). She is also an Associate Editor of Health Policy for the American Journal of Public Health, and was the Editor of the Journal of Health Politics, Policy & Law from 2010-2016.
