Academy Fellow Ron Manderscheid is the 2019 winner of The New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (NYAPRS) Lifetime Achievement award. NYAPRS is a not-for-profit organization comprised of a mix of recovering people and professionals who serve New York’s mental health recovery and rehabilitation community.
Manderscheid currently serves as the executive director of the National Association of County Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Directors and the National Association for Rural Mental Health and as an adjunct professor in the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was previously part of the Chief, Survey and Analysis branch of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
NYAPRS will award Manderscheid on September 25 during the group’s annual conference.
