Who can become an Academy Fellow?
Do you know an outstanding leader in social work? Academy Fellows are premier scholars and practitioners influencing the social work field.
If you’re a current Fellow or Fellow emeriti, you can play a critical role in finding the next outstanding Fellow for AASWSW membership.
Nominations can include prominent scholars whose work has had a considerable impression on social work and social welfare along with practitioners who have had a significant impact at the national or international level.
Nominations open late summer each calendar year and forms are sent directly to Fellows. If you know a compelling candidate, complete a nomination form, attach a CV and send it in. All nominations remain confidential.
Nominations Assistance
Nominations must be made by Fellows. The nominations for the 2024-25 Class of Fellows closes on September 6, 2024. Nominees selected to become Fellows will be notified in the fall.
