In recent decades, there has been a lack of consensus on how to respond to the growing demand for political asylum, legal status as citizens, and economic opportunity for immigrants and refugees seeking entry or currently living in the United States. As a profession, social work is called to empower and give voice to these disenfranchised and vulnerable individuals and give voice to those unable to speak for themselves. In this webinar, two leading authorities will be interviewed to examine the current debate on immigration reform from a social work perspective.
This program is presented in partnership with the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis.
