The Academy launched a new webinar series on systemic racism. This series of conversations will feature two Fellows that are subject experts, and an interviewer. Winners of the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) 2019 Book Award are Fellows Rami Benbenisty and Ron Avi Astor. The co-authors won for two books: Welcoming Practices, a research, practices and strategies review of schools and transitioning families, and Mapping and Monitoring Bullying and Violence, a guidebook for education and school district leaders
Karen Fredricksen-Goldsen headlined the 2019 annual LGBT Elders in an Ever Changing World conference as the keynote speaker. The conference is a day long event focusing on older LGBT adults and their caregivers.
